Women’s Privacy and Security on Social Media

Digital security and privacy practices are becoming essential for everyone living life on social media. The threat is far greater for women in our community. Women who are vocal and visible in their communities experience varying levels of hostility, abuse and violence online. Not only are their public profiles threatened, but their emotional and mental well-being as well. These kinds of online violence violate women’s right to freedom of expression.

Building on our work on training on digital security and supporting women digital rights Internet Policy Observatory Pakistan is organizing a training program to help develop the skills in managing digital security and privacy online and offline.
